The overall task of today's lesson was to graph the new surface area and the minimum surface area.
It is necessary because we want to reduce the Surface Area, but keep the same volume, the use of a graph will help us find the smallest surface area.

Exit Slip for 4/27 11.4
The important concepts of today's lesson was solving for the height of my can.The mathematical tool i used today was the calculater. It was helpful because The calculater help me calculate the numbers. Using the calculater made my job easier for me because it was quicker and it gave me the right answers.

Exit slip 4/19
The results of calculations from the two functions are shown in table 1. The first function is y1=4x^3+5 and the second function is y2=7x^3+100.
The first column contains some values for the independent variable x. The domain of these values: -25 to 25 was chosen randomly, first. I just wanted to make surer the important points of the graph would show. Some examples of the important points are: vertex, the roots, the local minimum, the local maximum, etc. The scale is set to 5.
The x values were substituted into the function, y1, and the results are displayed in the second column. Since y1 is a third degree polynomial. The y-values first increase as x-values increase from negative numbers to positive numbers. There is no vertex because this is a third degree polynoial.
The y-values for y2=7x^3+100 are shown in the third column of the table 1. The y-values increase as x-values increase.

Exit Slip 4/23
Today I was able to accomplish many things. I found all the measurements to my can. The way I found my measurements was by using a ruler. Also I found the voulme and the surface area of my can. The skills I learned today was how to find the diameter and the height of a can or cylinder. I would use these sklls when I need to to use a cylinder.

exit slip
1.One major idea i learned today was how to make a table and a graph by using google spreadsheet.
2.I did not have any problems today, the only thing that took me awhile was just making up a function but thats about it

Team Alec Baldwin
Our team is goin to be named Alec Baldwin, he is an activist for animal rights .
One of his quotes is "Everytime we sit down and eat , we make a choice: Please choose vegetarianism. Do it for animals. Do it for the enivronment and do it for your health.
